Tips for enjoying the outdoors

We have collated some tips for those who are venturing into the forest, onto the land or the lake. Sit still in the boat and don't forget your life jacket.

Borrow a life jacket

Do you wish to go out on the lake but do not have a life jacket? No problem. Life jackets are available to borrow for free from the Fire and Rescue Service. Life jackets are available in all sizes, from 0 kg to 100+ kg. They are available to borrow for up to a week, however due to the strong demand for them, we ask you to limit your loan to the day or days when you really need them.

If you are going ice skating, you can also borrow ice studs.

Further information is available at the Fire and Rescue Service websiteexternal link
