Kalvs skolhus
The schoolhouse stands in the small settlement of Kalv, which is located in southern Västergötland. Kalv borders both Halland and Småland. The schoolhouse is adjacent to Kalvsjön with plenty of opportunity for outdoor activities with its pleasant swimming area and long forest walks.
About Kalv school house
The school building has been converted to a hostel / conference centre and spans two floors. There are bright and airy bedrooms with large windows on both floors. There are seven bedrooms, sleeping 2-5 people in each in bunk beds, sleeping a total of 36.
The schoolhouse boasts a fully equipped kitchen and dining room, two classrooms / conference rooms, a communal living area with TV, sofa suite and pool table. The house also has a small gymnasium for playing indoor sports such as table tennis or floorball or drama performances.
Externally there are large asphalt and grass areas, garden furniture and barbecues. In one part of the garden you will find the schoolhouse's two glamping tents and in the schoolyard there is space for motorhomes. There is also a small football field with goals. Free WiFi-access is also available.
Accommodation with many opportunities in magnificent nature
Everyone is welcome here; individuals, families, business, groups, schools, etc. A small food shop is within walking distance as is Kalv's family camping where you can hire canoes and boats, enjoy a fika and buy a fishing permit. The schoolhouse is well suited to group activities in the two preserved classrooms and the gymnasium. The whole house is also available for hire for larger parties and events.
Glamping & pitches for motorhomes
In the schoolyard there are eight parking spaces with electricity, showers and toilets are available in the school. In a forest grove in the school garden you can book the school's luxury glamping tent. The tents are equipped with comfortable double beds, seating furniture, refrigerator, utensils, barbecue, outdoor furniture and cozy lighting. The beds are made, a towel and final cleaning are included. Each tent can accommodate two adults or two adults and two children in extra beds (air mattresses). In the basement of the schoolhouse you will find a shower / WC and a sink with hot water is available outdoors.

Kalv's schoolhouse is located in undisturbed nature, yet it is close to several major sights, which makes the location excellent as a starting point for day trips. Ullared with Ge-Kås is only 30 min away - 33km. Gothenburg - 100km, Borås - 66km, Halmstad - 78km and Växjö - 140km
